I’m seeking re‑election as Branch VP and National Councillor (General Staff) to turn fair workloads and real respect into binding outcomes. Across four universities, mostly as professional staff, I’ve seen skilled colleagues stretched thin while vacancies remain open and constant “change” piles on more work.

As Branch VP (General Staff) I will:

• Fight for severance parity for professional staff with academics.

• Argue that vacancy and backfill delays should not be left open 54 working days.

• Help to strengthen leave: gender affirmation; carers’ and parental; and for members living with disability or chronic illness.

• Advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members, improved conditions developed with and led by community.

I help foster a union that’s inclusive, progressive, and genuinely collegial—one that welcomes respectful disagreement and unites across roles. By engaging widely, we can win fair, sustainable conditions for all staff—academic and professional, casual and continuing—and push back on management overreach to secure the respect and resources we deserve.
