Nina Bernius for Branch Committee

Teaching and Curriculum Coordinator, School of Economics, FASS

I am a professional staff member who has had more than 20 years’ experience in higher education with a strong understanding of the challenges facing university staff. I am passionate about progressing initiatives that support work-life balance, flexible and hybrid work arrangements and healthier workplace cultures.

I believe professional staff play a vital role in the success of our institutions and should be supported through fair workloads, respectful consultation and policies that recognise the changing nature of work and personal responsibilities.

I would like to strengthen our union by:

  • supporting workplace delegates

  • having a strong collective voice to advocate for staff wellbeing

  • collaborating through diversity with compassion and respect

  • listening and prioritising members’ needs

I value respectful communication, collaboration and ensuring professional staff perspectives are represented meaningfully.

If elected, I will be advocating for positive and practical outcomes and supporting initiatives that strengthen fairness, wellbeing, flexibility and inclusion for all members.

Vote for NTEU Renewal.
