Fiona Gill for Branch Committee

Head of Discipline, School of Social and Political Sciences, FASS

I am standing for election for membership of the University of Sydney NTEU’s Branch Committee.

For the past 2 years, I have held the position of Branch Secretary, and in so doing, have been proud to represent all members of our branch.

I am committed to working with members of the Branch Committee, and the branch as a whole, to represent the interests and needs of all of our members.

I stand for:

  • a strong branch which is home to a wide diversity of political positions, and which reflects a commitment to academic freedom, freedom of speech and robust and respectful debate;

  • a branch which nurtures a culture of decency, humanism, and compassion for fellow members, and for humanity and society more generally; and

  • a united branch, dedicated to the protection and extension of workers’ rights.

To achieve these, we need a united branch dedicated to strong, strategic decision-making, action and inclusivity.

Vote for NTEU Renewal.

For Secretary vote Beccy Connell.
